What are the General settings in SurroundR?

To access General settings, go to Settings > General in the SurroundR dashboard. You'll find two tabs: Feature Flags and Account Settings.

Feature Flags

Feature Flags let you turn specific SurroundR features on or off for your entire account. Toggle each feature using the switch on the right.

Enable message templates — Activates the message templates and snippets functionality. When enabled, your team can use pre-written templates for LinkedIn DMs and InMails.

Enable LinkedIn injection — Shows the SurroundR overlay directly inside the LinkedIn interface. This is what allows your team to enrich contacts and send messages without leaving LinkedIn.

Enable Chrome side panel — Activates the Chrome side panel integration, giving your team a persistent SurroundR panel while browsing LinkedIn.

Enable Chrome side panel (minimal) — Switches the side panel to a compact view with fewer elements. Useful if you prefer a less intrusive experience.

Enable performance tracking — Allows anonymous performance metrics collection. This helps the SurroundR team improve the product.

Enable onboarding checklist — Shows a setup checklist for new team members. Turn this off once your team is fully onboarded.

Enable task queue navigation — Allows automatic navigation when working through the task queue. When enabled, SurroundR moves to the next task automatically after completing one.

Account Settings

Account Settings control how SurroundR handles data enrichment and CRM syncing.

Require company match — When enabled, SurroundR will only save a contact if a matching company already exists in your CRM. Leave this off if you want to capture all contacts regardless of whether their company is in HubSpot.

Auto-enrich contact — Automatically enriches contacts with email and mobile phone data where available. This runs in the background without manual action.

Find emails — Allows SurroundR to search for email addresses during enrichment. Toggle off if you only want to capture data visible on LinkedIn profiles.

Find mobile numbers — Allows SurroundR to search for mobile phone numbers during enrichment.

Allow list export to CRM — Enables exporting lists from SurroundR directly into your CRM. Useful for bulk operations.

Sync only new messages — When enabled, only messages received after the account was created are synced. Older conversation history is excluded. Keep this on to avoid flooding your CRM with historical LinkedIn messages.

Good to know

• Feature Flags and Account Settings apply to your entire SurroundR account — all team members are affected.
• Changes take effect immediately. No save button required.
• If you disable LinkedIn injection, your team won't see the SurroundR overlay on LinkedIn until you re-enable it.
