How do I configure SurroundR?

Set up field mapping between LinkedIn and HubSpot, configure default values, and create reusable message templates.

Set up field mapping

Field mapping controls which LinkedIn profile data goes to which HubSpot property.

  1. In the SurroundR dashboard, go to Settings > Field Mapping.

  2. Map LinkedIn fields to HubSpot contact properties:

    • First Name and Last Name → HubSpot contact name fields

    • Job Title → HubSpot job title property

    • Company Name → HubSpot associated company

    • LinkedIn URL → a HubSpot contact property of your choice

  3. Add or remove field mappings to match your workflow.

  4. Click Save.

Set default values

Some LinkedIn profiles have missing fields. Default values fill in the gaps.

  1. Go to Settings > Default Values.

  2. Set fallback values for fields that may not always be available.

  3. Click Save.

Create message templates

Templates let you send consistent outreach (Chirps) without rewriting every message.

  1. Go to Settings > Message Templates.

  2. Create a new template.

  3. Use dynamic placeholders for contact name, company, and other fields.

  4. Click Save.

You can create as many templates as you need and select them when sending a LinkedIn Direct Message.
