Challenges: going head to head

A challenge is a direct duel with a teammate on one metric for a set number of days. It exists because a leaderboard tells you where you sit in a crowd, and sometimes what you actually want is someone to race.

What you can compete on

• Meetings booked

• First replies

• Conversation days

• Reply rate

All four are outcomes, not activity. There is deliberately no duel on contacts added, because a duel on volume is a race to make your CRM worse.

Only comparable opponents

You cannot challenge whoever you like. SurroundR offers opponents within a band of your own trailing four-week score, so duels stay between people in roughly the same form. A new joiner cannot be set up against your best closer, and nobody can farm easy wins.

How a duel runs

1. Invite. Pick an opponent, a metric and a duration.

2. They answer. Accept and it starts. Decline and it ends. Ignore it and the invite expires on its own, so nothing sits open forever.

3. It runs. The card shows the metric and the time remaining.

4. It resolves as a win, a loss or a draw. A win pays out enrichment credits.

After a duel there is a cooldown before the same pair can rematch, which keeps a rivalry from turning into a permanent background process.

Team against team duels also exist, where two groups compete on the same metric.

What your opponent can see

The card shows the contested metric and how long is left. It does not show either side's raw operator-score figures. You can see who is ahead on the thing you agreed to compete on, and nothing more.

Good to know

• Challenges unlock once you have hatched. See Streaks: daily reps, multipliers and hatching.

• A draw is a real outcome and pays nobody.

• A challenge does not change how points are scored. It is a side bet on a metric you were already producing.

• Durations, the comparability band, the invite expiry, the cooldown and the win reward are all configurable for your account.
