How do I connect SurroundR with HubSpot?

SurroundR uses your HubSpot account to log in — there's no separate username or password. Installing the SurroundR app from the HubSpot App Marketplace connects your CRM and creates your SurroundR account at the same time.

Before you start

You'll need a HubSpot account with permission to install apps. Only one HubSpot account can be connected per SurroundR workspace.

Install SurroundR

1. Open the SurroundR listing — Go to the HubSpot App Marketplace and search for SurroundR, or open the listing directly [link].

2. Click Install app — Log in to HubSpot if you're not already logged in.

3. Select your HubSpot account — If you have access to multiple HubSpot accounts, choose the one you want to use with SurroundR.

4. Review and approve permissions — Check the access SurroundR is requesting, then click Connect app.

5. Done — You're logged in to SurroundR with your HubSpot account. From now on, signing in to SurroundR always goes through HubSpot.

For the strongest SurroundR experience — including connection cards directly on LinkedIn profiles showing which teammates already know the person you're viewing — install the SurroundR Chrome extension [link]. Once installed, log in with the same HubSpot account and visit any LinkedIn profile to see it in action.

Uninstall SurroundR

From HubSpot — Click the gear icon to open Settings, go to Integrations > Connected Apps, find the SurroundR tile, open the Actions dropdown, and select Uninstall. Your HubSpot contacts are not affected — uninstalling only revokes SurroundR's access.

Note that because SurroundR login runs through HubSpot, uninstalling the app also means you can no longer sign in to SurroundR until you reinstall it.

Good to know

  • SurroundR only reads contact data to match LinkedIn profiles against your CRM — it doesn't modify your HubSpot contacts.

  • Newly added HubSpot contacts can take some time to appear in connection cards. If you don't see a card you expect, check back later or refresh the LinkedIn page.

  • Removed the app by accident? Reinstall it from the HubSpot App Marketplace — your SurroundR workspace will be reconnected.
